Hawk Mountain Chapter, NRHS, jointly with Lehigh Valley and Pottstown & Reading Chapters, NRHS, announces PICNICRAIL 2001 AT Maier's Grove, Blandon, PA, along former Reading's East Penn Line just east of Reading, PA, for 1-10 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2001. (Also sponsored by Reading Company Tech. & Hist. Society and Anthracite and Conrail Railway Historical Societies.) Book/video sales, video watching with snacks and train watching under covered pavilion; picnic held rain or shine. Barbequed chicken dinner served at 5 p.m. Show at dusk will feature Steve Barry, Editor of Railfan & Railroad Magazine. Just east of PA Route 73 in Blandon, one mile south of PA Route 222; turn onto Grove Road; plenty of parking. Adults $10; Children 3-12 $5; under 3 free (how many?). Tickets for Check payable to Hawk Mtn. Ry. Historical Society and SSAE to reach Philip Reppert, 17 Adele Avenue, Blandon, PA, 19510, by May 19; after that your tickets will be held for pickup at the Grove.
