19th August,2001 MTR opened the Kowloon Bay Depot to the public as the retire ceremony for the 1st Generation Urban Line Train was located in the Depot. All types of MTR trains were shown in the Open day,included 1st Generation Urban Line Train,Modernlized Urban Line Train,Tung Chung Line Train and the Airport Express Train. The Open day also showed the parts of Urban Line Train.The public could explore the Operation Training Centre too.The engineering vehicles showed to the public also.
