I will be interviewed in a few hours on riding the train. I contacted one of my local news stations after seeing other miserable "alternative" travel reports. The other reports showed people waiting for the Sunset Limited 11AM train that did not arrive till like 3-5PM! NOT a good way to promote train travel.

I will be telling the great adventures and fun we have had and I am offering them my home videos as well.

So I hope I speak well for us train lovers. I urge you to contact your local stations as well.

I am not bashing the airlines, just showing that riding the train can be fun.

I agree that riding the train is fun. It's great for vacation travel. However, as a viable alternative for business travel, except in short commuter runs, it probably is not. I enjoy train travel and do not enjoy flying but being realistic, absent high speed rail, the train cannot compete with the plane. Good luck with your interview!

My interview went good. you can check out:
www.kprc.com later today maybe.

If I can't go by train.....I am going by car. But the events of last week had nothing to do with it. I NEVER fly! To sacred.
