I will taking my first trip on the Coast Starlight in May from LA to Seattle. I have heard that there may be wireless Internet service available between San Jose and Sacramento, either at the stations, or maybe along the entire route. Does anyone know anything about this ? Thanks.

Wifi is only on the Acela Express, and the Captiols.

It would be very nice if they got it on the starlight, but as of now they do not.

Hopefully they will sooner or later.

Once while stopped at Jack London Square I picked up a signal on my laptop long enough to check my email and a couple of message boards!

I found out that the service I had heard about was an ongoing trial on the Capital Corridor. They have one car equipped with a satellite linked WiFi system provided by PointShot Wireless. The car is rotated to different trains on this route. It can handle 20 users at a time.
