I'm still around but have been real busy lately. What with all the uncertainty at Amtrak, I've been getting into cruises more lately. The prices are fantastic for last minute travel and I'm going on a few cruises in the next 6 weeks. One cruise is for 5 nights in an outside cabin, single occupancy for $334. I just couldn't pass that up. I'm hoping to do one more rail trip before the end of the year and hope I have time to squeeze it in. Probably just a round trip on the Coast Starlight in early December. I'll be checking in every so often.

My first cruise is Monday. 4 night cruise to Baja, Mexico. I'm going with a few friends that I booked cabins for. My next train trip will probably be a trip to Sacramento on the San Joaquin. Hopefully I can get my daughter in law to let me take my grandson. Joshua's now 4&1/2 months old and over 16lbs.
