My name is Chip, and I'm a railfan, of course. I've taken Amtrak several times; One time to Little Rock, Arkansas; then I rented a car and went to Eureka Springs Arkansas. I, also, have been to Washington D.C. several times on Amtrak. My most recent long distant trip was on the Vermonter. I look forward to discussing topics on the board with all of you!

I hope it's not too late either. But I do have cause for hope. I listen to a Christian radio station that produces a monthly magazine; in the Aug. 2001 issue, it featured a Christian railfan saying very positive things about his experience with Amtrak. So, hopefully word is getting out that Amtrak is not some liberal or democrat pet project, but a form of transportation that benefits ALL Americans whether conservative, liberal, Christian, or Atheist for that matter!
