Hi,

Im traveling on this Friday from Penn Central to Baltimore, and then latter on fridady continuing my trip from Baltimore to Washington DC. If I book now the price is $60, but im wondering if its better to wait until the day of. Will there be seats availible and will the price be lower?

Thanks

Get the tickets now. one never knows if the train will be sold out. The prices at the last minute usually be highest, so the earlier you purchase, the lower the fares will be. A last resort would be waiting until about 4 - 5 am Friday morning or so, as that's when the Amtrak resv. computer lists all of the cancellations for that day - if there are any (like I wrote, this is a last resort measure). This can be doen only if you are close to a station where there is an agent to give you the printed ticket.
