1)The Heartland Flyer is one I know of

6)The Company is in Rochester, so The Rochester Railway Station is the closest.

10) True, the old Harvey House, La Posada, at Winslow Arizona? True it really isn't the Amtrak station, but I've stayed there and most passengers wait for the train by the old Harvey house than at the small station. And several people believe the Harvey House is the train station!

Partial Scores To Amtrivia Quiz #5 After 3 days on the board:

#1) UncleBuck44 is correct. It is the Heartland Flyer. What other single service turned a profit over expenses in FY 2001?

#2) EspeeFoamer: Correct. But where is car 10,000 stored?

#5) Sorry JONATHAN! Hunches don't count. Have Superliners been pulled by steam> If yes, show a photo. Name an occurence!

#6) Uncle Buck 44 is correct. The Rochester, NY Amtrak Station is just minutes away from the plant.

#7) MPalmer: Yes, it's Joe Dimaggio. He was also know as the Yankee Clipper.

#80 MPalmer. The answer is 17. Right you are. Does it seem to anyone else that there are a lot of Chief stops with the letter "L"? Who the L cares, right? It's a great train any way you spell it.

#9 MPalmer: The three fluids you named are correct. Just for trivia's sake, are there any more?

#10) MPalmer. Correct. Runner Up: SW Chief. I liked the way SWN Chief described goings on at the old Harvey House. I'll let the forum decide if your answer counts. Like you said, it's unofficial.

The remaining questions remain unanswered. Try using Miletrak to answer #3. There aren't many mileage options from Alton, IL, given the guidelines.

Diesel fuel, lube oil, water, um, uh... probably some railkill blood on all of them by now... can't forget coffee spills in the cab, not to mention the contents of the retention tank and the head... What made you ask this question again? Probably some sweat somewhere... Maybe some bird presents on the roof, that was once a fluid... I'll stop typing right now.
