I read a newspaper article recently that said the Zephyr would be rerouted through Wisconsin for about a month while maintenance is performed on the Moffat Tunnel. I'll try to find it and post a link.

I think that is supposed to be Wyoming.

Now THAT would be some rare mileage.
Let's keep our eyes on this one. I would love the opportunity to spend a day on the CZ during the WYOMING detour.

Wisconsin? LOL Take another look at the map. Now, what would be more realistic rare mileage detour would be the Tennesee Pass route, even though it's been out-of-service for a couple years. In all reality, Wyoming will do just fine. you can bet that there will be disgruntled passengers, though.

Wyoming would make more sense than Tenesee Pass, because it is much faster.Reroute through Wisconsin? I'll buy my ticket now!
