I read a post on trainorders.com that said Amtrak was using buses to send passengers between Minot and Havre.

I know Amtrak warned of track work on the EB this summer - but a busstitution. Is this true? How long is this scheduled to last? Any Amtrak/BNSF insiders out there know what's up?

I believe this may be due to a freight derailment near Poplar, MT, and thus only temporary. There was also some confusion on the Amtrak website about mixing the Empire Builder in with the Empire Corridor (NY)CSX track work message by mistake. If CSX is doing any track work in Montana, hopefully they have notified BNSF.
