With all the horrible things going on with Amtrak, if Amtrak were to go out of bussiness, then wouldnt people notice after some time how much we realy need Amtrak, I mean even if Amtrak did go under, a National Fleet of Passenger Equipment doesnt just Sell off and Privatize over nite, Right? so if Amtrak goes it could do like some of it's Superliner Coaches and be put "Back into Service" right?

Amtrak's not going out of business. So don't sweat it. Bush and Mineta don't have as much power as Congress. Congress, as a whole, isn't about to let Amtrak go. Quite the opposite. Thanks to Bush's zero budget, Congress is thumbing its collective noses at Bush and standing up for Amtrak for a change.
