I send this as I pack for my departure tomorrow on the Silver Meteor to Orlando for ten days. This was supposed to be a report on the Grand Luxe Limited, hopefully with pictures. But stuff happened. I'll be returning by Southwest Airlines instead. There probably won't be much to report from a railfan's point of view; overnight on a not very scenic route on a "Red Roof Inn" train won't take a lot of space, but we'll see. At least GL came through and sent me the refund. I hope they survive that unfortunate adventure. Unless the hotel has a computer in the lobby, chances are I won't visit this site again till I return - I couldn't get a $100 laptop on Black Friday like my sister did last year! See ya Christmas Eve!
