Rang up our medication vendor to refill a couple of Rxs and was greeted by the bubbly, exuberant Julie! Pass offs to the reorder department were handled by the "disembodied" electronic vocalizers one is used to in such environment. I wonder if "Julie" is branching out or if Amtrak is subcontracting her. Which ever, she's "almost" as good a real live person, but about as close as I guess we'll get in this day and age.
Best regards,
Rodger

Julie has worked for several other companies for years now.

Likely her ex/pre/clusivity only extends as far as other transportation companies.

Let it be noted that "Julie" in that SNL skit is an actress. Secondly to do "voice talent" work for BOTH American Airlines and Amtrak would be in violation of any exclusivity agreement - a provision that it is safe to assume that either carrier would require.

But it is interesting how "the voice of Lexus" has now turned up as the "voice of Mazda" - and so far as I can tell, not all that much of an interlude.

"Julie" is Julie Seitter from Massachusetts. Her voice is all over the place. My most recent encounter with her was when I called XM Radio for customer service.

She was a contestant on "Jeopardy" back in 2006. Here is a screen shot if you want to know what she looks like:

I still laugh when I call 'Julie' to see when my train is due and she says "Hold on, I'll try to find your train."

RRRICH, and Amtrak92, glad you liked the SNL Julie.

I remembered seeing it when originally aired and had to find it to post. That's Rachel Dratch (spelling?) playing the part of Julie.

Here's another funny take on Julie. I'm not sure if this has been posted here before, but it's pretty funny. It's a conversation with the real Julie.

Very clever skit.....

My wife believes I'm having an affair with Julie because every time I talk to her I go off for one to four days on a 'train trip'.
