The Vermonter route guide has now been posted to my web site -- railroadrich.com -- go to "Railroad Stuff" and "Route Guides" and it is "Log #70."
I need some feedback on this one -- I think I may have put too much "geological info" in it, and maybe too much of the local history also for some of the points of interest.
What do y'all think?

Think it looks good.
(I even learned a thing or two about my own backyard --- Connecticut).
Perhaps a little too much info -- but better too much than too little. Not sure how or where it could be condensed - so would just leave it to the reader to take from it what they want.
Curious -- I know you have done a lot of research for this guide -- did you also actually get to ride the route?

Thanks, Dee! I rode that route once many many years ago, and all I have from that trip is a few pictures. My "reseaerch" for these "narrative logs" comes from published information, my own understanding of geology (I am a geologist), and some pretty informative web sites I have found over the years (including Wikipedia).

Enjoyed the guide. I have yet to travel on the Vermonter N of Springfield, but it's something I do plan on doing.
I did visit Vermont by car several times over the years. In Burlington (which I visited more than once), I went to a Lake Champlain Folk Music Festival on the shores of the lake (not sure if it's still held there), took the Ethan Allen tourist boat, visited Shelburne Village south of the city, among other things.
I also stayed several times in Stowe, which is a very nice town with a pleasant recreational walk and other rural-ish things to do in summer. We used it as a base for drives, including to Waterbury, where we toured Ben n Jerrys; and Montpelier, where I toured the capitol (my first other than NYS), enjoying it, andI also dined at the Vermont Culinary Institute (I think that was name), where students prepared a very fine meal at quite a bargain price.
