Thanks, Smitty, I got it. Somehow I doubt there will be many seats to upgrade to on the daytime flight to FLL on a Friday but it's worth a try.

Frank, when I took Virgin last fall I looked for that opportunity but it didn't happen. But I did enjoy the flight as much as one can enjoy flying. Which is a high compliment from me.
Where are you staying in FLL?

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites near the airport mostly because that's where our friends are staying.
