I spent some time editing images and compiled what I think is a pretty good video to the song 'Trains' by Al Stewart.

I've always regarded Al Stewart as one of the best singer/songwriters out there, and I hope you enjoy it.

I'll admit I'm not that knowledgeable about trains, so don't let my relative lack of knowledge upset you if you see an image that is 'out of place' in the video. We are all newbies at some point. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

I can't speak to the audio, but the visuals are lovely.

I presume you cleared the copyrights to the song as well as the video snippets?

The images on the video were grabbed off the web. They were already out there, so I don't know how I'd even go about getting permission, or who I'd ask permission from. I retrieved them via a yahoo search and most of them popped up.

As for the music, the publisher will add small advertisements in the lower part of the screen and get income based on views and clicks. YouTube has already identified the song (they have software that automatically matches it up) and the publisher will benefit from the video if they choose to leave it up. They can also have it removed if they choose to.

BTW, we took the autotrain from Virginia to Florida last year and the kids loved it. It was their first time on a train, and it was a different experience than the usual flying would have been.

My wife liked the dining while the train was clicking along.

Because we were able to take our SUV and a lot of stuff with it, we didn't have to rent an SUV and the pricing was very competitive with what it would have been to fly.
