Thanks to our moderator for setting this up. Mr. Norman, perhaps there might be an interest in doing one similar for train to planes?

Trains to ferry and cruises

It might be good if some of the recent posts about ferries could be moved there?

Mr.Palmland, Mr.Presley is likely a better source for "plane to train" journeys. My travels are usually one mode, unless an auto rental at destination counts as multi-modal.

Speaking of auto rentals, Ms.Sojourner should be interested to know that I didn't rent a single auto during '14; my April Atlanta trip, for which I usually drive, was fly. The hotel at which I stay is in sight of the Dunwoody MARTA station and it serves the airport as well.

For the trip to family in CT, that usually fly and rent, but I drove. Be it assured I had no intention of renting in Salzburg.

But I didn't set foot on an intercity bus. The only bus I ever set foot upon during '14 was a "Sound of Music" tour bus.
