By order of the Toronto Police, GO Transit has been ordered to shut down its Exhibition station on Thursday 25th July until 7:00 p.m. Although newspapers state this is for security reasons, the real reason probably is that GO Transit simply cannot handle the expected crowds (hundreds of thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend a World Youth Day event with the Pope.) Passengers intending to disembark at the Exhibition station are being told to go to Toronto's Union Station and walk the two miles or take streetcars. GO Transit trains have been carrying some incredible loads after some of the events at the Exhibition grounds. For further information go to www.gotransit.com
