Hi, total novice but very keen to set up a garden railway - G scale. Have already got some LGB track and a Bachmann steam loco. Now need to know what I need to power my set (transformer or power pack or both or controller - all very confusing). Bear in mind I'm in Australia with different power input to USA. I also don't want to get anything that will become redundant as I expand my railway but don't want to blow up my current setup. Eventually looking at at least 80 feet of track (single), would like to be able to run 2 trains, electronic switches, etc. and lighting. Could someone please help explain and recommend the different options. I really do need some advice - I'm totally new to this, don't really understand all the power jargon (I'm also an Aussie female!) and this type of modelling is all relatively new down under. Thanks for any help in advance and hope to hear from someone soon, please! Many thanks, Cathy.
