how do I get two or more locomotives to pull one train ussing DC control. Is this posible? I have tried it but the train gose slower with two than when I only use one. Need some help

It will usually go slower, because you are doubling the load on the power supply. Also if the locos are not matched, they will run at the speed of the slower one. Don't forget that lighting packages effect loco speed. In fact one of the worst problems is directional lighting. Take two locomotives that would normally work together, but they have directional lighting, the one running forward, with lights on will run slower than the one running backwards with lights off. Stock Athearn locomotives can be made to run very well with their openframe motors, but they won't be as efficient as can motors no mater what. On dc layouts, the Athearn locos will need more throttle for the same speed than Katos, Stewarts, Atlas, or P2k.

Don't forget your power pack must have ample Volt Amps to run multi locos.
Generally but there are exceptions identical manufactured units may(?) run fairly close.
My powered LL F3 powered A-B-B-A are a great match but my Atlas U33/36Cs are 30% apart.
