I was wondering if it is possible to make a F7 B unit out of 2 F7 A body shells. both of the A units are now unpowere because of motor faliure and are now dummys. even if this is possible should I keep the A units as they are or make them into 1 B unit, which could go with either one of my other powered A units. Thank you for your help and keep on railroading.

Hey Shaun, If it were me I would keep the two dummy A units! Turning them into a B can be done with a whole lot off work!

I would keep them A units. There are some differences between A and B units that would make the two back ends of Two a units stuck together look quite odd. If you would like, I offer a repair service and could remotor them for you for a modest price.

Let me know if your interested at mrljames@hrp.every1.net

I did just that, with two rear ends of some N scale Bachmann F-9's. My B unit was powered and I thought it looked great until I found out what it was supposed to look like. THEN it looked odd.
