Hello to all you railfans out there. I live in Baltimore, Maryland area and love everything trains. I have some time off from work & have an opportunity to witness/photograph possibly the most elusive train of all - the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train. The Circus ("Red Tour") show is scheduled to start in Baltimore on March 8. I tried contacting RBB&B officials thru their web site for their train schedule, but was politely told there's no way for them to accurately produce a time schedule for the arrival of the train in Baltimore. If anyone out there has ever "chased" the Circus Train, please share w/ me any info, tips or other links that might help me w/ this venture.
Thanks - Shawn-614

Here in Denver the local print and other media usually let folks know when the train will arrive and off load the animals. The circus producers like the publicity and keep the paper apprised of their arrival. There is a bit of a trek from the train stop to the venue and usually everyone from kids and school groups to us animal welfare activists are there to observe. Watch the paper a few days before; contact the venue as well. You might have to just stake out some space a while beforehand.

Thanks for your help Ira. I'll contact the local newspaper & the venue too. Wish me luck!!! I'll post a follow-up to let you know how things went.
