Have you tried Cynthia Priest's book, SF Diesels to 1960? Or else (long out of print) Joe McMillan's book on Santa Fe Diesels?

Bibliographic Data for you:

McMillan, Joe. Santa Fe's Diesel Fleet. Burlingame, CA: Chatham Publishing, 1975.

Priest, Cinthia, Pharm D. The Santa Fe Diesel: Volume 1, Dieselization - 1960. Kansas City: Paired Rail Publications, 1998 (2d printing).

Dr Priest's book has a picture that shows the 4 fans and the exhaust stacks on a B unit. McMillan's book shows more of the bulge and less of the fan detail. Both books show the removal and overplating of the original equipment 72" fan.
