I just caught some radio traffic on the LA Inland Empire Radio feed about some sort of UP DERAILMENT on the X Overs at UP control point C 003 or Downey Road in East LA. www.railroadradio.net
This was monitored at 335 PM PDT saturday 6-10-06. I believe the culprit is a train the UP 4321. It sounds like this is of course blocking the main line. (I am not familiar with the trackage layout of the neaby UP Commerce Yards) The initial report is only 2 units ON THE GROUND while crossing over from Main 2 to Main track 1. This MAY cause UP to detour a few trains on BNSF via Fullerton on the BNSF San Bernardino Subdivision. This is what I know as I post this at 410 PM PDT 6-10-06.
