Just yesterday (2/18) I went by Point of Rocks MD. The connector between the Washington and old main lines is under construction, with the grading appearing to be almost finished. There was no ballast or track in place yet. The new connector will not be as sharp as the earlier connector at that location. Also near the maintenance sheds are several discarded pieces of rusty old position light signals, along with some brand new components for signal bridges.
