I just received a cassette tape of the engineer and the train dispatcher on a runaway train in eastern Canada a few
years back. This tape sent shivers up my body while listening to these guys as the train hits speeds of 75 mph. It
was an iron ore train in New Brunswick and the whole thing is about 22 minutes long.

My question is..... has anyone else here heard this tape??

Yes. It is a fantastic tape and is (or has been) used in Engineer training.

You could tell by the tone of the dispatcher's voice that he was certain that the train crewman who rode it down was dead.

Beautiful!

Roger
