Today a local Toronto radio station (CFRB) aired an interview with David Gunn. I expect this won't be of interest to most of you, but I thought I'd post it anyway. Most of the 10-15 min. interview was focused on reminiscing about Mr. Gunn's past with the Toronto Transit Commission. About the only things from the interview relating to Amtrak of note was his restating his commitment to shut down the entire system should short term financing not come through and that his new management structure is the same one he implemented at the TTC. He stated that several Amtrak managers had come to Toronto to see that management setup ["three blue binders"] in action. He also mentioned that he promised his mother to return home for a visit every five weeks.
