I have been following the travels of some friends who are first time train riders and their CZ, train # 5 (10) was annulled somewhere in the Donner Pass area on May 12 due to a freight derailment. The Trains website stated the freight derailed at Cape Hope, MP 144.6. Where is that? I thought there was a spot called Cape Horn but maybe am confused. Does anyone know where this point is and where passengers were removed from the CZ? They were bussed and lost alot of time as a result.
