The lead article in this week's edition of Destination Freedom tells of a summit of passenger rail advocates putting together a platform of four points of agreement. This platform will be used for approaching Congress with a unified message, something that has been difficult for these diverse groups to achieve. Among the participants are representatives from rail advocacy groups, states, the Amtrak Reform Council, and even some representatives from the freight railroads, 37 in all.
