Not sure whether I missed this, or how long this has been effective. But the Amtrak site says they have new menus. Three different menus, each with one evening entree selection "today's special" (ie not fixed). Bad news: they got rid of the White Zinfandel. Good news: two white and two red wines to choose from.

Hi, Geoff,
Menu change was last April. The wines are quite nice for the price - $8.00 for a half-bottle, I believe. With a real cork, too.

i can definitely vouch that the Angus Burger is great, and the New York Strip was excellent. Looks like they replaced that one with the tenderloin though.
