Good morning and Merry Christmas. Anyone having trouble today with website. I put my family on #3 this morning in Topeka, On time!. Last report for #3 was Hutchinson, Ks. at approx. 4am. In talking with 800 agent, she assured me of a on time arrival in La Junta, however, website and 800 #, do not reflect arriving in Garden City, Dodge City, or Lamar. Information is very dated. I have family that will be driving from Phoenix to Flagstaff to pick up tonight. I thought website and 800 # would be very useful tool to use today. Tried calling La Jaunta station direct, as the website shows it is a manned station, no one answered. Poor coustomer service??? Hate to, but I will bug 800 agents I guess. Website doesn't list station phone numbers either. Had to look up online yellow pages. Too bad so many stations are not manned. Even Topeka,Ks, the state capital, doesn't have manned station on the weekends. I guess my best bet is to call my family on the train, if there is cell phone service, to find out where they are. If anyone has any helpful idea?? What do you think?

Well, since I posted, info finally updated. Was not updated since Hutchinson, until about half hour ago. Looks like #3 arrived early in La Jaunta. #3 had been late the last few weeks, Great to see it on time, as it was also yesterday too.

News from on board, #3 hit some cattle outside of Trindad,Co Lost a couple of hours, something about brakes? This is from, family on board, lucky enough to get cell connection. Train crew kept everyone informed. Web site was about 3 hours between reports though. Looks like #3 could still make Flagstaff within hour of published time.

There is padding in the schedule at Albuquerque. It is possible to make up an hour there unless further repairs are needed.

Looks like they won't make up much time, still will be about 2 hours late, into Flagstaff. However, everyone is still enjoying the trip. At least there isn't weather related (snow, ice)delays. There was talk of setting out car at Albq. , but I didn't here if they did.
