Hey Folks,

Looks like I'm going to get a small rail trip the end of October. I'd be arriving in the DC area on a Sunday and looking to fly home out of BWI the following day.

I'm looking for suggestions on a hotel in the DC or Baltimore areas that is within walking distance of a rail, metro, or lightrail station.

Thanks,

I stayed at a FourPoints Hotel that was a short cab ride or easy walk from the DC Union Station. In Baltimore there are various Hotels around Camden Yards which has a great light rail system and a train that goes directly to BWI. If you like train History, Baltimore is a treasure trove.

On the Virginia side there are several hotels in Rosslyn which is a Metro stop. One I believe is now a Holiday Inn has a great restaurant on the 17th floor. It's called the vantage point and has a wonderful view of DC and Georgetown. They do a nice lunch buffet and a very good dinner. There is another across the street /I think that is a Marriot. Both are right at Key Bridge. There are several in Chrystal City near the airport and a metro as well.
