I got an email today from Chase to start the process to get my new AGR card.

My new "default" station (EKH) has no baggage service or QuikTrak machine, but the parking is free! And the NY Central RR Museum is just across the tracks (but not open at Amtrak train times. . ..)

Yeaaaa! Me too. I filled it in and let it go though I felt queasy about all that information provided electronically for the first time. I hope it doens't take a month.

Don't forget to apply---- I almost forgot, myself. However, my daughter has been bugging me about the new card since I told her we couldn't get a new computer until I could charge it and get points.

One thing on the application form, though. They say "don't use a P.O. Box", but they reply to your application by, (guess what) *U.S. Mail*! So if you are like me, and have a (sort of) street address(but no mailbox there), but get your mail at a P.O. box, take note.

I'm just wildly guessing that they will enter in your basic data and the credit agencies will check to see if you are o.k. to go.

I'm a little concerned about the note that this card, after the initial 'special rate', is going to have an APR of 17.24%! That's about 8% higher than where the original MBNA Amtrak Guest Rewards card started.

I'd advise being wise with this new card like paying it off or you could start digging a little hole for yourself.

And yes, I've already applied!
