Has anyone heard how trains such as the Heartland Flyer or Texas Eagle have fared during the ice storms of the Midwest earlier this week?

Noticed the California Zephyr was over 9 hours late on Sunday. Checked the status out of Chicago and looks like from Burlington, IA--Omaha--Denver was virtual stop &
go. May have been the ice storm? Hope this clears up before our CZ trip in early Jan.

Conditions must have been awful.

Now if the CZ were running on CSX the delay would be explained with the old 'frozen signals' excuse!

Climbing toward 5,000 posts like the Southwest Chief ascending Raton Pass. Cautiously, not nearly as fast as in the old days, and hoping to avoid premature reroutes.
