NEW YORK – Amtrak announced today a special round-trip weekend fare of $75.00 valid Fridays through Mondays for travel on its Adirondack service this winter.
Tickets are on sale through March 24, 2008, for travel between January 11 and March 31, 2008. Up to two children ages 2-15 may accompany each adult at a special discounted fare of $38.00. The special weekend discounted fare is available for travel in either direction from New York, Croton Harmon, Poughkeepsie, Rhinecliff, Hudson, Albany and Schenectady to Plattsburgh and Rouses Point, N.Y., St. Lambert, Quebec, and Montreal, Quebec.
Amtrak’s Adirondack Service, travels daily between New York and Montreal, and is supported by funding from the New York State Department of Transportation. The Adirondack has been named one of the top 10 most scenic train rides in the world by National Geographic Traveler magazine and links the great metropolises of New York and Montreal.
