I can't for the life of me remember where you're off to this time as you always research way in advance and always seem to have two or three trips on the drawing board at the same time.
I might go so far as to suggest that sometimes the planning of a seamless trip is nearly as satisfying as the execution of a seamless trip.

This is my Providence/Topeka/Kansas City trip, with round trip to Jefferson City from KC one day. I decided Topeka is on the way home from New England!
I will be coming eastbound on the Capital Ltd, something I've never done. And the train between KC and Jefferson City is also new to me. Plus, I've never been to any of these four places. So I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to reading what you think of Union Station in Kansas City.

sad news; I've had to cancel for medical reasons. Oh, well, better luck next time!

Sojourner, how disappointing for you. I hope the medical clears up very soon and all is well again. We had to give up a trip last year and I was not a happy camper.
