We recently flew to Calgary, took the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver, and then returned to San Luis Obispo, CA by the Amtrak Cascades and Coast Starlight. This "report" is mostly photos. And not all are train photos - some are scenic or interesting shots from the trains and activities at stopover points. The web pages start here:

Jamie, thanks for posting here. I saw your pictures via the link from that other site to which I do not belong. They are absolutely fabulous! I am very jealous of your skill at photography and your knowledge of rail. Everyone here should take a look, it is well worth it.

By the way, I had been trying to find a way to get someone, Smitty perhaps, to tell you about the Bald Eagle but I see someone did so.
