Wonderful article indeed, THANKS for sharing! By this time of year most of the scenic railroads last excursions of the year here in WV are sold out because the Fall Foliage is quite spectacular.

If I'm not mistaken, West Virginia's Cass Scenic Railroad is the highest in the country east of the Rockies?

Booked in the Deluxe Parlour Car for this Sunday's 7-hour Brunch excursion. It's my 49th birthday! Will try and post a Trip Report (it won't come close to comparing to what yaw post) and some pictures next week.
