Just hit the wires a few minutes ago - Light Rail vs. Bus

No further details yet -

Advocating for passenger trains since 1973!

Climbing toward 5,000 posts like the Southwest Chief ascending Raton Pass. Cautiously, not nearly as fast as in the old days, and hoping to avoid premature reroutes.

Hope they get it all out of their systems. The Blue Line is my train to Staples Center for the Clippers games. Season begins end of October. That line has the most collision problems because it runs on downtown streets.

Wow Vicki, you're a basketball fan! Who knew?

Sadly there is no nifty light rail when I go see the Kentucky Wildcats play......but if I go to the SEC tournament I could take the Silver Star to Tampa.

Yes, David. We root for the underdog Clippers. Unfortunately, when we play the Lakers for a Clippers home game there are more Lakers fans than Clippers fans in the crowd. But - we can sell those tickets for big bucks to the Lakers crazies.

The light rail system here is good in many ways but also pretty cumbersome too. Too many transfers needed if you want to go very far. We transfer once to go to the games, would transfer twice to get to Union Station. The bus works better for that trip, just park the car at the transit center and go direct to Amtrak.
