After reading many reports that mass transit -- rail in particular -- was being reduced in the federal stimulus bill, I found this report today that the transit stimulus was increased in the House on a voice vote by 30 percent: http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/01/mass-transit-scores-big-win-in-house-stimulus.php.

New York and California appear to be targeted for the biggest increases.
