The legislature in our great state won't even have a budget agreement on time, and Dockery has the votes to kill SunRail, anyway.

Also, our local paper had a scathing editorial against it, saying it is an "easy call" to kill it.

Too bad if it does fail. Orlando definitely could use some congestion relief. How about time-of-day congestion pricing on I-4? Would Dockery et al like that any better?

More to the point, opponents have been spreading ludicrous rumors. 54 trains a day through Lakeland? I doubt CSX runs 54 trains a day in the entire state -- in fact, I doubt CSX and FEC together could muster 54 trains a day, and most of them surely don't run through Lakeland.

Paula Dockery ought to talk to her husband, who was behind the failed Florida HSR initiative. If that doesn't work, there's always psychiatric help...
