I guess the good news is it looks like only one car went on the ground. Standard US flange height is 1 inch (25.4 mm)
I have recently had to go through the EU standard on wheels. After wading through a complexity that looks like it is written so as to include every possibility of wheel and tread ever used in western Europe, you find a statement that, "The base profile is that obtained with a flange 32.5 mm thick and 28 mm high.

I've only seen the UK one which goes into all sorts of measurements, angles, curves, etc. I kept it simple for the purposes of discussion and wouldn't have included it if there was a suitable reply like yours!
