I'm curious if anyone has spotted or ridden the City of New Orleans operating with it's runthrough consist from the Texas Eagle yet.

I'm particularly interested in visual confirmation of a Sightseer Lounge Car (whether staffed or not) operating on the CONO.

The last time I rode the CONO was in 2002; during that trip, there was a Sightseer Lounge.

The current AMTRAK timetable lists the consist as still being Superliner, but does not mention anything about a lounge of any kind.

Hey Rich,

CONO had ben operating for a couple of years without the Sightseer Lounge but it has been reported here that in early January Amtrak began running the Texas Eagle consist through to the City of New Orleans.

If this is the case, the CONO would be getting an unstaffed Sightseer Lounge.
