On it you'll find links to every rail-related article I've written in the last four years.
What I'm going to try to do for TrainWeb is write not only about the adventures of train travel but also of stopovers and destinations reachable by train. I.e., the joys of not only VIA Rail's "Ocean" but also the sights of Halifax and Nova Scotia. And getting to Yosemite National Park by rail.
Might I ask you fellow Railforum habitues for ideas and suggestions for trains to ride and places to visit (as well as hotels and restaurants)? You've always given excellent advice.

Hmmmmm -- maybe I should transfer my web site to a Train Web-hosted one. How do I do that? How many pages do you get in a Train Web site? Anyone with info, please let me know. I could put my railroad guides and trip reports all together under Train Web then.

I've already stumbled across your New Orleans feature at TrainWeb (loved 'Don't Bother') and would love to see the NCDOT's 'Piedmont' operation get that kind of exposure.
Perhaps the North Carolina Transportation Museum near Salisbury and the relatively new Lynx Light Rail in Charlotte would be sufficient 'other' attractions to get us on your radar.

My vote is for a trip that includes the Coast Starlight and the beautiful views of the coast, however, adding something additional that I really never see anyone write or talk about. A stop in SLO (San Luis Obispo) would be a great little trip. Not only is there a weekly farmer's market that draws huge crowds, but there is also Hearst Castle. I've seen plenty of Coast Starlight trip reports, but I've never seen anyone go in-depth with Hearst Castle and all of the things that are in the immediate area. Cal Poly is located right there in SLO, and it's a beautiful college community. I think people would find it very interesting and informative.
