Here is more information on the currently vacant (and available) Historic Bank Building in Biltmore, NC.
It is adjacent to the former Southern Railway Biltmore Depot (which was the Asheville Station the last 7 years of Southern Railway Passenger operations) and would make a mighty nice train station even today.
According to paranormalists, the building has a 'past'. Here is an article from when the place operated as a link in the 'Melting Pot Restaurant' chain in which you can get a fair interior photo.
I am still trying to find an exterior photo - suffice to say that it resembles the Peachtree Station which Amtrak uses in Atlanta.
OK..... if these flickr photos work for you, here are a few exterior images of the Historic Biltmore-Oteen Bank Building hard by the railroad tracks in Biltmore Village, Asheville, NC.
The building is currently vacant and, in my wildest dreams, I would love to see the NCDOT get their hands on this building for use as a passenger train station.

It does seem ideal for a train station and would provide an impressive entrance for visitors to Asheville. But, I guess for sentimental reasons if nothing else would be nice to restore the train station and use it for its intended purpose.
The diagram clearly shows the existing wye that could be used to turn a train and room in the NS yard for a storage track. What are you waiting for NC?

The difference being that the depot is occupied by a going concern. The bank building, which is newer and substantially larger, is vacant and available.
Here's one of the flickr photos which shows nearly all of the building from the street side.
Palmland, did you spot the squarish Grand Bohemian Hotel in the diagram? It's not even half a block from this bank building.
