Thanks to AMTRAK reservations! My wife and I are about 10 days from our first major trip on rail. (I a retired airline employee!) We made reservations online and then later called to see if our roomette was on the upper level (it wasn't) The agent; Barbara, changed it for us and then noticed that fares were cheaper. We got a $459.00 refund without even asking! Wow!

Hopefully the trip will go so well that you will want to spend that $459.00 on your second major rail trip!
