I went down to the SBA station today to buy tickets for four people SAN-SBA next month after our coastal cruise. We were doing Business Class, two senior, two adults, two with AGR numbers. The agent had it done in about two minutes. I admit I'd written it down but she still was very efficient.

I was using a $200.00 voucher for partial payment and my AGR credit card for the remainder and she made that look very easy, too.

Meanwhile, at the window next to me a passenger who had just come in on the Starlight was screaming profanities at the agent...
These folks put up with a lot.

FYI for anyone local, the long term parking rate is going up to $5.00 per day. The first 75 minutes remain free since it is a City owned lot.

Any idea why the Starlight passenger was unhappy?

She had asked the agent if there was a bus to Goleta. The agent said that Amtrak didn't have one but... And that's as far as she got before the woman from #14 started screaming at her calling her a liar and much worse. She left and then came back and started in again.

I was going to be a good guy and tell her that she could take the 50 Cent shuttle that stops across from the station to our Transit Center and then catch a bus to Goleta. Then I thought about it some more and decided to let her sort it out.

There are a lot of crazies out there and I'm thinking she was one of them.
