Please advise about the visibility of the major scenic highlights during this time of year. This is a bucket list trip for me and if I will miss everything, I might as well save my points for future travel. Opinions?

After daylight savings time ends and 1 month before shortest day of the year is not the best time for a westbound Cardinal trip. Eastbound would be better or wait til early spring before trees leaf out, lots of water in streams, and days are longer. In November much of scenic New river will be in darkness.
