Hi all,

This may be a dumb question but I can't find the answer. I just recently took the Coast Starlight train from Seattle down to Sacramento. From reading a little about the train, I knew about the Pacific Parlour car (which was pretty nice!) and the supposed movie theater that's on the lower level of that car. On my train, at least, the movie theater looked like it was being used for storage and hadn't actually shown a movie in a while, although the LCD TV and everything that was in there looked pretty new. Needless to say, no movies were shown on my train which was a little disappointing. Does anyone know if any of these Pacific Parlour car movie theaters are still used, or if it was just the one on my particular train, or what? I haven't read anything to indicate that they're not being used anymore, but on my train at least, that was definitely the case.

Thanks!

Mr. Amaro. first welcome to our Forum.

Amtrak discontinued movies systemwide about a year ago. I for one don't miss 'em. Apparently, they decided that those who really want 'em will have downloaded on to the device of their choice and can just as easily watch them in their room, when they want to.

What GBN said.

I, for one, would load up several movies you want to see on your laptop or tablet.

Of course, on the Starlight, the scenery is generally far better than most movies.

Remember when the Viewlineers were first delivered? They had smal TV-s in the room. I never turned them on but I do remember them being annoying because the audio carried through the car. They made have had headphone jacks but did not seem to be in use. Anyone have any experience with them?
