Apparently the ongoing Texas Eagle follies continue today --- 21(31) left San Antonio with NO sleepers and literally just a three car train set as observed on a rail camera along the way --- literally one engine, one Cross Country Diner/Cafe and two coaches.

another forum says it was one CCC and two coaches.
